I went by a site that had a fire this morning. This is not our site (it is a site secured by Polo Security Video Monitoring) but we do have several sites just down the road.
It is an important reminder to us all why we need to be so vigilant in our monitoring services as things like this do happen. This is an insurance companies worst nightmare as this site was nearing completion and I cannot estimate what the cost to replace this will be.
The benefit to our type of monitoring is that as we are watching live we have a much better chance of catching something like this before it is burned to the ground. You can also see the incorrect pole and camera placement in the photo below pre-fire (near the site trailers).
